We would like to welcome you to the Latin America Regional Roundtable in the beautiful city of Bogotá, Colombia. Bogotá is Colombia's beating heart, an engaging and vibrant capital cradled by chilly Andean mountains.

While there is no registration fee for the Latin America Roundtable, affiliate attendees will be responsible for paying for their round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, visa application fees (if applicable), transportation to/from the airport, and dinners during the evening. Make-A-Wish International will be providing the meeting space, coffee breaks, and lunches throughout the week. If you would like to bring an additional individual you are welcome to do so at your own cost.

The Four Seasons Hotel Casa Medina entwines its 1940s colonial history with a splash of contemporary Colombia. A historic boutique gem set in the heart of the capital. Within a one-kilometre radius there are more than a dozen restaurants and bars, situated in a safe area which is easy to explore on foot. A wonderful place to stay and has many historic details such as ornate wood-paneled walls, herringbone floors and grand staircases mix with modern furnishings.
The single or double room rates are 160 USD per night, excluding taxes. If you are foreign you are exempt from the VAT (19%, 30 USD) tax. The hotel insurance is not mandatory if you do not want to take it. The only tax which is compulsory is the CPI tax. Which is 8% of the breakfast, only USD $ 0.72 per day.
Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included in this room rate.

Based on the input of the affiliate taskforce (in 2017) the ideal Volunteer Management Process will be shared. We will have interactive discussions about Recruitment, Competencies, Roles, Responsibilities, Training.

14.00 Session #2: Volunteer and Staff roles in the Wish Journey and Fundraising
The implementation of the Wish Journey has taught us that the right Volunteer Management process is crucial for success. Which roles can the volunteers and staff have in the Wish Journey and Fundraising? How can you give more responsibilities to your volunteers?
Objective: Think about getting more involvement from your volunteers and changes in the role of staff.

8.30 Session #3: Code of Ethics
To grow the shared culture within the global community we will focus on this topic during every gathering we have. This time we will discuss the Code of Ethics and its toolkit and what this means for volunteers and Volunteer Management.
Objective: To translate the Code into the daily life of an affiliate
9.30 Session #4: Volunteer access in the Wish Cloud
When volunteers have an active role in the Wish Journey, access to the CRM-system will be very helpful for them. The technology team will share how this could look like in the Wish Cloud.
Objective: To optimize the Wish Journey and volunteer involvement by technology.
11.00 Session #5: Homework discussion
Affiliates are given the opportunity to share their homework with us.

13.30 Session #6: Individual affiliate work: from 'is' to 'shall'
Using the information from day 1, each affiliate will compare its own present situation of Volunteer Management and Technology (“is”) with the desired process in their affiliate (“shall”). Then, having identified the desired process (based on the ideal process, tweaked to fit the specific situation of the affiliate), each affiliate can make an implementation plan: short term (quick wins) and long term. We will provide a template to work with.
Objective: To get a clear picture of possibilities for improvements. Each affiliate will have (the start of) a plan for Volunteer Management and Technology in their affiliate
14.45 Two actions
Each affiliate will present two actions that will be followed up 8 weeks after the Roundtable. We will schedule a zoom call to share with each other.
